About Piet Van School
Piet Van School operates in the heart of the Baridhara slum, supporting a community driven by hard work and determination. With household earnings averaging just US$800 per year, whole families are compelled to work, and children are rarely spared. Parents work as domestic workers, daily laborers, or trash recyclers, while the children assist to augment the family income. School and the promise of a nutritious meal provide vital stability to these families, ensuring these young learners can focus on education rather than daily survival.

About Our School Meals
Why School Meals?
School meals are a vital lifeline. In the communities we serve, there is no backup—without these daily meals, hunger takes over and learning suffers. By providing reliable, daily nutrition, you fuel children’s education, support their physical and cognitive development, and help entire communities lift themselves up.
