Our Story

Thrive began as a tiny startup sparked by three expat moms in Bangladesh who wanted to help the hungry children they saw in the urban streets.

When these mothers asked the local school what the children needed most, the answer was simple and urgent: food.

So they made a promise: 250 bananas, once a week, delivered by hand.

What started as a small act of kindness quickly grew into an outpouring of care. The community’s response was overwhelming, as teachers, parents, and neighbors rallied around the idea. In no time, those early meals became the foundation for an entire movement.

From that first promise, Thrive has grown into a global community of parents, teachers, volunteers, local leaders, and international supporters working together to ensure children receive daily school meals.

And Thrive continues to expand as more partners come forward, more leaders emerge, more donors step up to ensure that more children all the time get the nourishment they need to learn and grow.

It’s the Thrive promise, and it’s growing stronger every day.
