About Dawahon Integrated School
Located two hours by boat from the closest mainland town, Dawahon Island is home to an isolated population of 4,000 people facing extreme geographic and economic barriers. Without direct municipal electricity or clean water systems, families survive on an average of US$120 a month tied to sea-based livelihoods like seaweed farming and fishing. In this remote setting, quality education and nutrition provides children the tools needed to overcome isolation and build sustainable futures beyond the island’s shores.

About Our School Meals
Why School Meals?
School meals are a vital lifeline. In the communities we serve, there is no backup—without these daily meals, hunger takes over and learning suffers. By providing reliable, daily nutrition, you fuel children’s education, support their physical and cognitive development, and help entire communities lift themselves up.

What makes Thrive unique
Consistent school meals dramatically reduce childhood malnutrition and strengthen long‑term health.
Daily meals boost attendance and improve learning outcomes.
Nourishment today builds confidence and opportunity tomorrow.
Why hire mothers?
Because local jobs create lasting change long after the meal is served.
Invest $1 in a child’s meal and unlock as much as $10 in health, learning, and opportunity that lasts a lifetime.
